Producer Statement Author Register What is a Producer Statement?
The Producer Statement Author Register is a list of individuals or organisations who wish to provide Producer Statements.
A Producer
Statement is a document (e.g. design certificate or construction
review) confirming that plans, specifications or
completed works, for all or a specific part of a
building, comply with certain technical requirements
that will satisfy the Building Code. The Hauraki
District Council Building Consent Authority(BCA)
will accept producer statements from Chartered
Professional Engineers working within their fields
of expertise. All non Chartered Professionals should
complete the
application form(Form295)
(28KB)
to be included on
Council's Producer Statement Author Register.
The BCA will maintain the register as a mechanism
by which authors of Producer Statements can be recorded and tracked. The
register shall be reviewed and updated annually. Suitability to remain on the
register may be reviewed at any time. The BCA reserves the right to remove any
name from the register at any time. The person removed shall be notified in
writing within 10 working days of their removal. Information held in the
register shall be controlled in accordance with the Privacy Act 1993 and the
Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987.
The register shall be checked by building control staff each time a Producer
Statement is received to verify that the Producer Statement falls within the
scope of the approval granted for placement on the register. Should the author
of the Producer Statement not be recorded in the register or the Producer
Statement falls outside the scope of the current registration the Producer
Statement and author shall be scrutinised against this policy. If all the
criteria are met the individual or organisation may be entered into the
register. Failure to meet the criteria may mean rejection of the Producer
Statement.
Names and contact details of the Producer Statement Authors listed on this register will be made publicly available on this website and from Hauraki District Council offices.
