Location

Hauraki is located on State Highway 2 but did you know that we are approximately one hour’s drive from the Port of Tauranga and the Port of Auckland? We are also within two hour’s drive of 65 per cent of New Zealand’s population.

Cost

The cost of land in Hauraki is significantly lower than the major cities. Council has developed its own industrial subdivision with sections starting at $153,900.00 for 2052m2 through to $290,320.00 for 3629m2. As Council is the developer we are in a position to consider attractive financing options and assistance packages to suitable applicants.

Proactive, “Business Friendly” Council

Council has taken the initiative to grow the District. We see the importance of a thriving business community and as such we want to partner with businesses to develop and reach their potential. We have two economic development officers dedicated to assist. We are determined to make it easier for businesses to set up and operate in Hauraki.

Affordable Land

As discussed above industrial land in Hauraki is lower in cost than other locations. Also, the cost of residential land and housing is much lower. Currently houses are from $115,000 and sections are being marketed for sale from $58,000.

$300,000 to $350,000 will buy a very nice house and land package and with a 10% deposit, fortnightly repayments on a $300,000 home are approximately $720, which works out less than renting in the major cities.

We have found that this provides more disposable income.
