Each year Council gives awards for citizens who have made valuable contributions to the community over many years.

Young Achievers Awards
Young Achievers Awards are to acknowledge young people who live in the District and who are achieving at a high level in a variety of fields. Nominations came from schools and individuals to honour young people for their leadership, sporting prowess, academic and vocational achievements as well as their ability to be role models for others in the community.

Industry Training Graduation
Industry training graduations are all about recognising achievements and giving families, friends and employers the opportunity to celebrate the success of industry trainees and Modern Apprentices who have achieved their qualifications in the last year.
A graduation ceremony is also time for the Hauraki and Thames Coromandel Mayors, their Councillors and Industry Training Organisations (ITOs) to thank employers for their commitment to training.
