Hauraki District Coordinator for Sport Waikato
Hi
My name is Julie Stephenson and I am the Hauraki District Coordinator for Sport Waikato. I was born and bred in the Hauraki District and have always lived in Ngatea. I am married to Tex and we have three grown children – Lloyd (22), Nick (20) and Laura (17). I have always loved sport and have been very involved with hockey, tennis and basketball over the years. I believe the environment of sport and active living is an ideal vehicle for people to learn many skills and values about life.
As a district coordinator, my job is to manage the delivery of Sport Waikato Programmes and Services to meet the specific needs of the district. I really enjoy meeting the many people involved with sport and active living in our district. It has been great to form many partnerships with providers to get more people, more active, more often.
