NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT A MEETING OF THE PLANNING AND FINANCE COMMITTEE WILL BE HELD IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS, WILLIAM STREET, PAEROA ON THURSDAY 10 FEBRUARY 2000 COMMENCING AT 1.00 P.M.

3.1 MEETING HELD 16 DECEMBER 1999 1-4
RECOMMENDATION
THAT the minutes of the meeting of the Planning and Finance Committee held on Thursday 16 December 1999 be taken as read and confirmed.

5.1 COMMUNITY SERVICES MANAGER MONTHLY REPORT (01.012.022) 5-8
The Community Services Managers monthly report is attached for the Committees consideration.
RECOMMENDATION
THAT the report be received
AND THAT Council sells the new sections on an individual basis
AND THAT Council appoints a sub committee to advise and oversee the design and scheduling of the Karangahake Reserve upgrade
AND THAT should the Committee deem it necessary, due to the commercial nature of the business to be discussed, the meeting moves into committee to discuss more fully the best option of how the Lawrence Road land should be disposed of
AND THAT Council disposes of the Lawrence Road property as per the existing titles
AND THAT His Worship the Mayor, Cllrs Carmine and Gordon with power to act determine the manner in which the farm will be leased.

The Corporate Services Managers report on the operations of the Corporate Services Department for the month of December 1999 and January 2000 and financial statements for the 5 months ended 30 November 1999 are attached for members consideration.
A payments listing for the month of December 1999 and January 2000 will be tabled at the meeting for members information.
RECOMMENDATION
THAT the report on the operations of the Corporate Services Department for December 1999 and January 2000 and the interim financial reports for the 5 months ended 30 November 1999 be received.
7 PLANNING & ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES
7.1 DELEGATED MATTERS (01.010.001) Separate
Reports of the matters dealt with by way of delegation from the period 1 December 1999 and 1 January 2000 are attached separately for the Committees information.
RECOMMENDATION
THAT the reports of delegated matters be received.
7.2 PLANNING & ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES REPORT (01.012.023) 16-31
The Planning and Environmental Services Manager has reported on the recent activities of the Planning and Environmental Services Department.
The report, which includes details on both the Consents and Monitoring Divisions, is attached for the Committees consideration.
RECOMMENDATION
THAT the report be received.
8. GENERAL BUSINESS
8.1 RURAL FIRE SERVICE FOR HAURAKI DISTRICT (02.001.000) 32-34
Attached is a report from the Community Services Manager regarding the Rural Fire Service for Hauraki District.
RECOMMENDATION
THAT Hauraki District Council formally indicates to the Thames Valley Combined District Emergency Planning Unit that it is willing to become a member of the proposed Thames Valley Rural Fire District subject to a similar agreement by both Thames Coromandel and Matamata District Councils AND that the Planning Unit can confirm that the estimates within the proposal as submitted will not significantly alter to adversely affect the operations of the prospective Fires District.
