5.1 COMMUNITY SERVICES MANAGER MONTHLY REPORT (01.012.022) 9-20

The Community Services Manager’s monthly report is attached for the Committee’s consideration.

RECOMMENDATION

THAT the report be received

AND THAT the request be considered

AND THAT the toilet floors be resurfaced for the cost of $3200 and that the funds for the work come form the District Community Facilities Recreational Fund.

6.1 CORPORATE SERVICES DEPARTMENT REPORT (01.012.024) 21-27

The Corporate Services Manager’s report on the operations of the Corporate Services Department for the month of August 2002 is attached for members’ consideration.

A payments listing for the month of August 2002 will be tabled at the meeting for members’ information.

RECOMMENDATION

THAT the report on the operations of the Corporate Services Department for August 2002 be received.

7 PLANNING & ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES

7.1 DELEGATED MATTERS (01.010.001) Separate

Reports of the matters dealt with by way of delegation from the period 1 August 2002 are attached separately for the Committee’s information.

RECOMMENDATION

THAT the reports of delegated matters be received.

7.2 PLANNING & ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES REPORT (01.012.023) 28-32

The Planning and Environmental Services Manager has reported on the recent activities of the Planning and Environmental Services Department.

The report, which includes details on both the Consents and Monitoring Divisions, is attached for the Committee’s consideration.

RECOMMENDATION

THAT the report be received

AND THAT Council considers that the language on the sign displayed at 1B Corbett Street, Paeroa, is offensive

AND THAT Council authorises Council officers to take appropriate action to have the sign removed.

8. GENERAL BUSINESS

8.1 FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE (04.201.999) 33-44

The Chairperson of Environment Waikato writes advising of the Festival of the Environment 2003. The festival is an annual community based event, which takes place around the Waikato region. The festival sees all people celebrate their connection to the environment in their own particular way. Attached also is an invitation to participate document that also includes a partnership agreement. The requirement of Council is explained on page five of that document.

RECOMMENDATION

THAT the letter be received

AND THAT consideration be given to this request.

8.2 NON-FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE TARGETS 2001/02 (01.710.002) 45-76

Attached is a report from the Corporate Planner regarding the non-financial performance targets for 2001/02.
