The Community Services Manager’s monthly report is attached for the Committee’s consideration.

6. CORPORATE SERVICES

6.1 CORPORATE SERVICES DEPARTMENT REPORT (01.012.024) 14-23 (19KB)

The Corporate Services Manager’s report on the operations of the Corporate Services Department for the 10 months ended 30 April 2004 and financial statements for the 10 months ended 30 April 2004 are attached for members’ consideration.

A payments listing for the month of month of payments listing will be tabled at the meeting for members’ information.

RECOMMENDATION

THAT the report on the operations of the Corporate Services Department for 10 months ended 30 April 2004 and the interim financial reports for the 10 months ended 30 April 2004 be received.

7 PLANNING & ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES

7.1 DELEGATED MATTERS (01.010.001)

Reports of the matters dealt with by way of delegation from the period 1 April are attached separately for the Committee’s information.

RECOMMENDATION

THAT the reports of delegated matters be received.

7.2 PLANNING & ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES REPORT (01.012.023) 24-27 (28KB)

The Planning and Environmental Services Manager has reported on the recent activities of the Planning and Environmental Services Department.

The report, which includes details on both the Consents and Monitoring Divisions, is attached for the Committee’s consideration.

RECOMMENDATION

THAT the report be received.

8. GENERAL BUSINESS

8.1 PRESENTATION BY NEWMONT WAIHI OPERATIONS

An invitation has been extended to Newmont Waihi Operations to attend the meeting and make a presentation to the Committee on the recent blast vibration exceedances.

8.2 DOG CONTROL POLICY REVIEW

A report will be circulated prior to the meeting from the Monitoring Supervisor Consents regarding the review of the Draft Dog Control Policy and Summary of the Draft Dog Control Policy for the consideration and adoption by Council.

8.3 ENVIRONMENT WAIKATO LTCCP SUBMISSION 28-31 (26KB)

Attached is a report from the Acting Planning and Environmental Services Manager regarding the Environment Waikato LTCCP Draft Submission(11KB).

RECOMMENDATION

THAT the submission be approved as amended.
