The Roading Manager has reported on district roading matters for the Committee’s consideration. A copy of the report is attached.

RECOMMENDATION

5.2 DRAINAGE MANAGER’S REPORT (01.011.028) 21-22 (17KB)

The Drainage Manager has reported on drainage matters for the Committee’s consideration. The monthly report is attached.

RECOMMENDATION

THAT the report be received

AND THAT a 9m section of 300mm diameter pipe with an improved inlet be constructed to the manhole near the intersection of Hill and Kennedy Streets, and an 11.5m extension of the line to the north, be approved at an estimated cost of $3,550.

5.3 WESTERN PLAINS DRAINAGE DISTRICT COMMITTEE (45.499.999) 23-26

Minutes of the Western Plains Drainage District Committee held on Wednesday 28 July 2004 are attached.

RECOMMENDATION

THAT the minutes of the meeting of the Western Plains Drainage District Committee held on Wednesday 28 July 2004 be received and the recommendations contained therein adopted.

The Utilities Manager has reported on district utilities matters for the Committee’s consideration.

The minutes of the meeting of the Consultative Committee Water and Wastes held on Tuesday 3 August 2004 will be tabled at the meeting.

7.2 REQUEST TO REVOKE AND REPLACE LOCAL PURPOSE RESERVE, CNR SH25 AND GOLDEN VALLEY ROAD, WAIHI – LOT DPS 32555 (13KB)

Attached is a report from the Community Services Manager regarding a request by Transit NZ for Council to assist with the relocation of a segregation reserve on the corner of State Highway 25 and Golden Valley Road, Waihi.

RECOMMENDATION

THAT the report be received

AND THAT Council pursuant to Section 114 of Public Works Act 1981 consent

to the taking of Lot 4 DPS 32555 as road and vested in the Crown.
