2. DECLARATION OF LATE ITEMS

Pursuant to Section 46A(7) of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987, the Chairman is to call for late items to be accepted. In the event of a late item, an explanation must be given as to why the item was not on the agenda and why discussion cannot be delayed for a subsequent meeting.

5.1 ROADING MANAGER’S REPORT (01.011.026) 5-20 (45KB)  Appendix 2 (1013KB)

The Roading Manager has reported on district roading matters for the Committee’s consideration. A copy of the report is attached.

RECOMMENDATION

THAT the report be received

AND THAT the new kerb and channel for Adams Street proceed as described above at estimated cost of $63,000

AND THAT the installation for engine braking signage be declined

AND THAT the option one footpath extension at an estimated cost of $15,380 be constructed in combination with the Dillimore Service Lane.

5.2 DRAINAGE MANAGER’S REPORT (01.011.028) 21-23 (19KB)

The Drainage Manager has reported on drainage matters for the Committee’s consideration. The monthly report is attached.

RECOMMENDATION

THAT the report be received

AND THAT 30m of open drain in 3 Gladstone Road be piped with 750mm diameter pipe, plus one manhole, at an estimated cost of $10,500, on the basis of the adjoining owner meeting a one quarter share.

5.3 EASTERN PLAINS DRAINAGE DISTRICT COMMITTEE (45.498.002) 24-25

Minutes of the Eastern Plains Drainage District Committee held on Tuesday 24 August 2004 are attached.

RECOMMENDATION

THAT the minutes of the meeting of the Eastern Plains Drainage District Committee held on Tuesday 24 August 2004 be received and the recommendations contained therein adopted.

Minutes of the Western Plains Drainage District Committee held on Wednesday 25 August 2004 are attached.

RECOMMENDATION

THAT the minutes of the meeting of the Western Plains Drainage District Committee held on Wednesday 25 August 2004 be received and the recommendations contained therein adopted.

The Utilities Manager has reported on district utilities matters for the Committee’s consideration.

The Utilities Manager has reported on district utilities matters for the Committee’s consideration. A booklet "Your Septic Tank System" is enclosed for your information.
