Clause 2.4.4(b)(i) shall be amended by deleting the clause and replacing it with:
Half of the members of the committee if the number of members (including vacancies) is even; or
The majority of members if the number of members (including vacancies) is odd.
Clause 2.4.4(b)(ii) shall be renumbered Clause 2.4.4(b) (iii)

9.7 CAMPING GROUND EXEMPTION APPLICATION SINCLAIR – RIVER ROAD, 96-99 KARANGAHAKE (85.080.501)
Attached is a report from the Supervisor of Environmental Services regarding a Camping Ground Exemption Application concerning Sinclair – River Road, Karangahake.
RECOMMENDATION
THAT the report be received
AND THAT pursuant to Regulation 14(1) of the Camping Ground Regulations 1985 Council grant an exemption from section 6 .of the regulations requiring a minimum width of sites of 8meters, for a reduced width of 7metres.

10.2 PAEROA WAR MEMORIAL HALL – ROOF (02.303.999) 105-107
Attached is a report from the Community Facilities Manager regarding the estimated pricing to complete a re-roof of the entire hall roof which was requested by the Paeroa Ward Committee on Tuesday 7 December 2004. Also attached is a plan of the roof upgrade.

10.4 SEGREGATION RESERVE, WHIRITOA : REQUEST FOR LAND TAKE 113-119
STATE HIGHWAY 25, WHIIRITOA (05052/392.00)
Attached is a report from the Community Services Manager regarding a request received from Tranzit NZ to acquire some land for highway from a segregation reserve owned by Council.
RECOMMENDATION
THAT the report be received
AND THAT Council consents to the land take for highway purposes as requested by Transit NZ (via OPUS International Consultants Ltd) as per plan 2/1761/2; 214; 02; R2, of approximately 755m2 from the Segregation Reserve Lot 320 DPS 17141, and
AND THAT the private land owners adjoining the reserve be advised accordingly.
10.5 CLOSING OF ROADS – UNDERGROUND MINING RISK ZONES, WAIHI (30.000.007) 120-123
Attached is a report and plan from the Community Services Manager regarding the closing of roads in the underground mining zones of Waihi.
RECOMMENDATION
THAT the report be received
AND THAT Council directs the chairperson of the Hauraki District Council in accordance with Clause 12 of the Tenth Schedule of the Local Government Act 1974 to temporarily close Slevin Street, Newman Street and Grey Street at points shown on the attached plan once appropriate signage and barriers are put in place and that the closure is publicly notified advising public of the fact and the alternative route.
10.6 TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF STREETS (IM207771) 124-125
Attached is a letter which has been received from the Paeroa Promotions Trust Inc. applying for the temporary closure of streets in Paeroa for their one-day motor cycle racing event on the streets of Paeroa on Sunday 20 February 2005.
RECOMMENDATION
THAT it be recommended to Council that pursuant to Section 11(e) of the Tenth Schedule of the Local Government Act 1974 it approve the temporary closure of the following roads on Sunday 20 February 2005 between the hours of 6.00am and 6.00pm
That no objections to the closure, which are upheld by Council, are received.
That any requirements of Transit New Zealand and the Traffic Services Division of the Police Department are complied with.
That written acknowledgements from the owners/occupiers of residential properties located on the circuit be supplied to the effect that they are fully informed of the event
That signage and barricading of the roads to be closed and alternative routes shall be provided, to the satisfaction of the District Engineer and shall be supplied, erected and dismantled by Council at the cost of the organisers.
That the Organisers shall be responsible for the placement of temporary rubbish containers, the emptying of all rubbish containers and the removal of all rubbish within the road closure area to the satisfaction of the District Engineer.
That the Organisers shall arrange adequate public liability insurance ($1m) in respect of any and all claims arising from the event.
That any further conditions or requirements of Council associated with the event, imposed by the District Engineer or Manager Planning and Regulatory Services pursuant to the resource consent shall be complied with.
That the organisers shall meet all the costs of Council associated with the event, and indemnify the Council against any loss arising from the event.
That the Organisers shall enter into a bond with Council to cover the Council’s costs associated with the event and to ensure compliance with the above conditions.
Permission be given for the use of the plaza area in the town centre in conjunction with the event.
Alternative routes for State Highway 2 and State Highway 26 traffic shall be provided as follows:
Detour via Station Road, Thames Road, Arney Street, Willoughby Street and Victoria Street.
Bus services affected by the road closures shall be given access through Willoughby Street to set down and pick up passengers in the vicinity of the public toilets. Clear signage at the normal bus stop explaining where the temporary stop is located is required.
Roads to be Closed
Belmont Road from Station Road through Normanby Road to Victoria Street; Arney Street from Willoughby Street to Princes Street (State Highway 26); Princes Street; Wharf Street; Marshall Street; Hughendon Street; Francis Street; William Street; Hall Street; Mackay Street; Corbett Street from Belmont Road to Willoughby Street, and Willoughby Street from Corbett Street through to Arney Street.
The proposed closure was advertised in the Hauraki Herald on14 December (with objections closing 4 January 2005).
