Attached is a report from the Supervisor, Environmental Services regarding the second draft of the Earthquake-Prone, Dangerous and Insanitary Buildings Policy.

Attached is a report from the Supervisor – Resource Management Services regarding Proposed Plan Change 10 and report from the District Plan Committee detailing the hearing process undertaken and concluding recommendations to the Plan Change.

RECOMMENDATION

THAT the report be received

AND THAT Pursuant to Clause 10 of Schedule 1 to the Resource Management Act 1991, the Hauraki District Council approves with modifications as set out in Attachment 1 – "Schedule of Amendments to Hauraki District Plan", Proposed Requested Plan Change No. 10 – Waihi.

Attached is a report from the Supervisor – Resource Management Services regarding a proposal from the Historic Places trust to register a historic area in Waihi.

RECOMMENDATION

AND THAT Council supports the registration of the proposed historic area and further that the area is considered for inclusion in the District Plan Schedules of heritage features.

11.1 ACTIVE COMMUNITY – SPARC INITIATIVE: INVESTMENT APPLICATION (06.500.999) (21KB)    104-114

Attached is a report from the Community Services Manager regarding Council’s application for investment in the SPARC initiative.

RECOMMENDATION

THAT the report be received

AND THAT Council submits application for investment to SPARC to allow Hauraki to benefit from the SPARC initiated ‘Active Communities’ programme.

New Ngatea Area Signage

RECOMMENDATION

THAT new signage directing through traffic to use Hayward Rd to access Kaihere Rd be addressed through community consultation as the increase in traffic volumes could change the level of service for the residents.

AND THAT all signage at the intersection of Kaihere and Kerepehi Town Rd be reviewed in conjunction with this request.

The Utilities Manager has reported on district utilities for the month of April 2006. The report is attached for the members’ information.

District Drainage Committee Elections

RECOMMENDATION

THAT the retiring members of the District’s Drainage Committees be thanked for their service to the drainage operations of the Hauraki District.
