NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT A MEETING OF THE HAURAKI DISTRICT COUNCIL WILL BE HELD IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS, WILLIAM STREET, PAEROA ON THURSDAY 15 FEBRUARY 2007 COMMENCING AT 9.00 AM

Attached is a report from the Planning and Environmental Services Manager regarding the Sale of Liquor Policy Review 2007.

RECOMMENDATION

THAT the report be received.

AND THAT the Draft Sale of Liquor Policy (as amended) be approved for the Special Consultative Procedure

AND THAT the Draft Sale of Liquor Policy be approved for consultation in conjunction with the Draft Annual Plan 2007/08.

6.2 ADOPTION OF PROPERTY AND PENSIONER HOUSING ASSET MANAGEMENT PLAN (03.000.002) (20KB)  46-62

Attached is a report from the Planning and Environmental Services Manager regarding the adoption of the Property and Pensioner Housing Asset Management Plan.

RECOMMENDATION

THAT the report be received

AND THAT the Hauraki District Council Property Asset Management Plan, 2006, be adopted

AND THAT the Hauraki District Council Pensioner Housing Asset Management Plan, 2006, be adopted.

6.3 REPORT TO COUNCIL REGARDING THE APPROPRIATENESS OF THE DRAFTING OF THE FOLLOWING PARTS OF A CONSOLIDATED BYLAW AS PROVIDED FOR BY SECTION 155(1) OF THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT, 2002 –   (81KB)  63-82

Attached is a report from the Planning and Environmental Services Manager regarding the Bylaw Review.

RECOMMENDATION

THAT the report be received

AND THAT Pursuant to Section 155 of the Local Government Act, 2002 the passing of the following parts of a consolidated bylaw is the most appropriate measure to be taken in dealing with matters subject to the proposed parts –

  1. PART 1 – INTRODUCTION

  2. PART 2 – LAND TRANSPORT

  3. PART 3 – PUBLIC SAFETY

AND THAT Staff be authorised to prepare the Introduction, Land Transport and Public Safety parts of a consolidated bylaw for consideration by Council

  1. SPORTS WAIKATO UPDATE – FEBRUARY 2007 83-84
  2. 7.1 Attached is a report from Julie Stephenson, Sports Waikato Coordinator providing an update on activities for the period 1 July 2006 to 31 December 2006. Julie will be in attendance to present to Council at approximately 11.30am.

    Attached is a report from the Community Services Manager (51KB)  regarding the Draft Contestable Social Fund Policy(494KB).

RECOMMENDATION

THAT the report be received

AND THAT Council approve the Draft Contestable Social Fund Policy

AND THAT the Draft Contestable Social Fund Policy be approved for inclusion into the Draft Annual Plan 2007/08 for consultation through the Special Consultative Procedure

AND THAT a Councillor from each of the District Ward’s be appointed to develop a Subcommittee to review council’s current allocation of contestable funds.

    Attached is a report from the District Engineer and Roading Manager which provides an update of active projects within the network.

RECOMMENDATION

THAT the report be received.

9.2 KEREPEHI STAGE 2 PROJECT (43.001.101) (23KB) 116-117

Attached is a report from the District Engineer and Utilities Manager which outlining the status of the project.

RECOMMENDATION

THAT the report be received

AND THAT Council notes developments with regard to this project

AND THAT Council notes that tender prices are likely to exceed budget provision

AND THAT Council supports the staff actions in endeavouring to contain the cost of the project.

Attached is a report from the District Engineer and Drainage Manager providing an update of Land Drainage matters and activities of the Drainage District Committee’s.

RECOMMENDATION

THAT the report be received.

Paeroa Rural Drainage District – Komata North Representative Vacancy

The Drainage Manager advises Council of the nomination of Mr Gavin Vowles, formerly a member of the Komata North Committee to the Paeroa Rural Drainage District Committee.

RECOMMENDATION

THAT the acceptance of the nomination of Mr Gavin Vowles to fill the vacancy for Komata North representative on the Paeroa Rural Drainage District Committee be confirmed.
