Attached is a report from the Community Development Officer outlining current community development projects.

REQUEST FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE [DCP- 40-115]
WHIRITOA LIFEGUARD SERVICE INC. [414124]
The President writes advising of the activities of the society.
A copy of the Presidents report, previous AGM minutes and audited financial accounts has also been provided. This information indicates that the club is healthy both community-wise and fiscally and that they have considered their future service requirements; they have set aside (tagged) funds for future operational resources and building projects.
Currently the service is conducting a refurbishment programme for it’s clubrooms at Whiritoa Beach that includes the internal and external painting of this building.
The President asks if Council would provide financial assistance up to $10,000 for this project.
RECOMMENDATION
THAT consideration be given to this request.
