The Drainage Manager advised that investigations have been undertaken in to the operation of the control gate, and that there were unspent budget items for the refurbishment of the structure.

The Committee was requested to consider the piping of the 150m open drain between Matai Street and Mill Creek in Turua.

After discussion on the request, the members agreed that the piping at the location be approved.

RESOLVED

THAT the works involved in piping 150m of open drain between Matai Street and Mill Creek in Turua, with 450mm diameter RCRRJ pipe, at an estimated cost of $40,600, be approved.
