NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT A MEETING OF THE EASTERN PLAINS DRAINAGE DISTRICT COMMITTEE WILL BE HELD IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS, WILLIAM STREET, PAEROA ON WEDNESDAY 28 JUNE 2006 COMMENCING AT 1.30PM.
ORDER OF BUSINESS
DECLARATION OF LATE ITEMS
Pursuant to Section 46A(7) of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987, the Chairman is to call for late items to be accepted.
RECOMMENDATION
THAT the minutes of the meeting of the Eastern Plains Drainage District Committee held on Wednesday 26 April 2006 be taken as read and confirmed.
The monthly report from the Drainage Manager is attached for the Committee’s consideration.
RECOMMENDATION
THAT the report be received.
Piping of open drain, Raratuna Street, Turua
RECOMMENDATION
THAT the 20m length of open drain at No 37 Raratuna Street Turua be piped with 450mm RRJRC pipe, at an estimated cost of $4,000, provided the adjoining owner meets one quarter of the cost, being $1,000 (plus GST).
Piping of open drain between Matai Street and Jubilee Drain
RECOMMENDATION
THAT the piping of the 150m length of open drain between Matai Street and the Jubilee Drain be discussed with the Turua Hall Committee, with a view to completing the piping in the 2006-07 financial year.
Piping of open drain, Town Road, Kerepehi
RECOMMENDATION
THAT the committee approve in principle the piping of 32m of open drain adjacent to Town Road, Kerepehi, with 300mm diameter RRJRC pipe, on the basis that the adjoining owners contribute one quarter of the cost of the job.
The financial report for the 11 months ended 31 May 2006 is attached for members’ information.
RECOMMENDATION
THAT the financial report on the operations of the Eastern Plains Drainage Committee for the 11 months ended 31 May 2006 be received.
