CONSIDERATION OF 2000/2001 ESTIMATES
Attached for the Committee’s consideration were the 2000/2001 estimates.
A revised set of estimates was tabled at the meeting.
The Drainage Manager took the Committee through the estimates. He explained that the Council were having a meeting on the 22 March 2000 to consider the estimates, so the Committee needed to revise their estimates before this date.
Points discussed were:
Options for reducing costs of floodgates
Replacement of floodgates
The condition and replacement costs of floodgates need to be determined
Rate increase required
Mr Peddie (Management Accountant) attended the meeting to clarify the Committee’s concerns regarding DiSP.
RESOLVED
THAT the 2000/2001 estimates for the Komata North Drainage District as amended be approved
AND THAT there be a 10 percent rate increase.
