MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE OPUKEKO DRAINAGE DISTRICT COMMITTEE HELD IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS, WILLIAM STREET, PAEROA ON MONDAY 13 MARCH 2000 COMMENCING AT 9.15 AM

PRESENT	Messrs I D Wood (Chairman), O R Millar, G R White and D Johansen

IN ATTENDANCE	Mr I McLeod (Drainage Manager) and Mrs R Johnson (Council Secretary)

APOLOGIES

There were no apologies.

CONSIDERATION OF 2000/2001 ESTIMATES

Attached for the Committee’s consideration were the 2000/2001 estimates.

A revised set of estimates was tabled at the meeting.

The Drainage Manager took the Committee through the estimates. He explained that the Council was having a meeting on 22 March 2000 to consider the estimates and the Committee needed to revise their estimates before that date.

After a brief discussion the Committee agreed that the estimates as presented be approved and that there was no need for a rate increase.

RESOLVED

THAT the 2000/2001 estimates for the Opukeko Drainage District as amended be approved

AND THAT there be a zero percent rate increase.
