The Drainage Manager and Overseer will meet the owner on site to check the options to avoid pumping water if possible.

FINANCIAL REPORT (45.499.003)
There was no financial report this month.
GENERAL BUSINESS
Waikaka North Pump and 1000 Acre Drain
Agreement with Environment Waikato has been reached to lower the start and stop probe levels of the pump. It is likely that a heavy clean of the drain to remove some high spots in the invert will be necessary to take best advantage of the adjusted pump levels. This work will be programmed for summer.
Hopai Pump – Winter Water Level
B. Carter asked if probes can be lowered at the Hopai pump to increase pumping volumes over the winter months.
Muggeridge Drain Extension
The status of the project was requested. The Drainage Manager advised that the drain has been surveyed and that construction drawings will be produced for work to be completed in the 2004/2005 financial year.
Mid Section of Drain 76
G Speedy stated that a section of Drain 76 needs to be dug out as the overflow from the drain is causing ponding on several farms. The Drainage Overseer advised he will investigate the problem and report back to the members.
Culvert Levels
W Bennett stated that in view of problems relating to insufficient draining of water through control structures, that the invert levels may need to be reviewed so water can drain more efficiently.
LATE ITEM
Extension of Piping - Harris Place, Ngatea
The Drainage Overseer reported on an extension of piping required at Harris Place, Ngatea. He outlined that the pipeline terminates at one property short of the length required. It was agreed that Council need to extend the piping to include this property at the end of the original subdivision.
