The Drainage Overseer will arrange for the locals to attend.
Removal of Power Pole on corner of Phillips Road
Guy Speedy asked what was the status of the issue regarding the removal of the power pole on the corner of Phillips and Kaihere Road. The Drainage Overseer advised that PowerCo are aware of the request for its removal and have given this work a priority.
Cr Gordon commented that there are a number of power poles that are in need of maintenance along many district roads. He asked if the Drainage Manager could speak with the Roading Manager regarding the maintenance of these power poles as many of the poles are precariously leaning over the drains causing an obstacle for drain maintenance and safety. It was requested that staff investigate the matter with the Roading Manager.

GENERAL BUSINESS
Spraying – Four Wheel Bike
The Drainage Overseer had been asked to raise the possibility of using a spray trailer to be towed behind the farm bike for spraying when ground conditions made it difficult to operate the spray tractors or utes..
He advised that the bikes are currently fitted with 200 litre tanks that are re-filled from the main tank parked nearby. The trailer may cause as much problem as a tractor rig.
The committee agreed to monitor the situation, and reconsider the proposal in the future if warranted.
The meeting closed at 12.25pm.
