NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT A MEETING OF THE PAEROA WARD COMMITTEE WILL BE HELD IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS, WILLIAM STREET, PAEROA ON TUESDAY 12 FEBRUARY 2008 COMMENCING AT 12.30PM

Pursuant to Section 46A(7) of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987, the Chairman is to call for late items to be accepted.
In the event of a late item, an explanation must be given as to why the item was not on the agenda and why discussion cannot be delayed for a subsequent meeting.
3. CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES

RECOMMENDATION
THAT the minutes of the meeting of the Paeroa Ward Committee held on Tuesday 11 December 2007 be taken as read and confirmed.

5. COMMUNITY SERVICES
The Community Services monthly report on activities is attached for the Committee’s consideration.
RECOMMENDATION
THAT the Community Services monthly report be received.
5.2 DOMAIN : LIGHTING – STAGE 2
RECOMMENDATION
THAT the Paeroa Ward Committee recommends to Council that the seven tower Second Stage of the Domain Flood Lighting system is installed with the additional ‘events’ lighting facility before the coming winter.
PAEROA POOL HEATING
RECOMMENDATION
THAT the heat pump option and upgrading of the plant filtration and pumping equipment be considered, with a view to commissioning the work in 2008/09.
6. GENERAL BUSINESS
6.1 CONSIDERATION OF ESTIMATES FOR THE 2008/09 ANNUAL PLAN
The draft estimates for the operation and maintenance of the Ward Facilities and initiatives will be circulated separately for members consideration.
Following discussion on the items it is expected that the Ward Committee will recommend to Council the adoption of the estimates either as they have been presented or subsequently amended.
RECOMMENDATION
THAT the Paeroa Ward Committee adopts the estimates as presented or amended for the Paeroa Ward for the 2008/09 Annual Plan.
