NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT A MEETING OF THE PLAINS WARD COMMITTEE WILL BE HELD IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS, WILLIAM STREET, PAEROA ON TUESDAY 7 FEBRUARY 2006 COMMENCING AT 9.00 AM

Pursuant to Section 46A(7) of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987, the Chairman is to call for late items to be accepted.
In the event of a late item, an explanation must be given as to why the item was not on the agenda and why discussion cannot be delayed for a subsequent meeting.

THAT the minutes of the meeting of the Plains Ward Committee held on Tuesday 6 December 2005 be taken as read and confirmed.

THAT the Community Services Manager’s report be received.
5.2 MANGATARATA RESERVE ADVISORY COMMITTEE
7-8Minutes of the Mangatarata Reserve Advisory Committee meeting held on 5 December 2005 are attached for the information of the Committee.
RECOMMENDATION
THAT the minutes of the meeting of the Mangatarata Reserve Advisory Committee held on 5 December 2005 be received and the recommendations contained therein, adopted.

RECOMMENDATION
THAT the report be received.
Positively Promoting the Plains
RECOMMENDATION (1)
THAT consideration be give to the requests made by Positively Promoting the Plains
Hugh Hayward Domain, Ngatea
RECOMMENDATION (2)
THAT this request be approved
AND THAT $100,000 for upgrading of the Hugh Hayward domain carpark be included into the Draft Long Term Council Community Plan 2006-16
AND THAT consideration be given to the possible development of a new sports centre.
Ngatea Swimming Pool
RECOMMENDATION (3)
THAT this request be approved
AND THAT $30,000 for upgrading the changing sheds at Ngatea pool in 2006/07 remain in the Draft Long Term Council Community Plan 2006-16
AND THAT $5,000 for repainting the complex buildings at Ngatea pool in 2007/08 be included into the Draft Long Term Council Community Plan 2006-16
Ngatea Entranceway
RECOMMENDATION (4)
THAT $20,000 be included in the Draft Long Term Council Community Plan 2006-16 for Ngatea entranceway landscaping for the period 2006/07 to 2009/10
Ngatea Memorial Hall
RECOMMENDATION (5)
THAT this request be approved
AND THAT $47,000 be included into the Draft Long Term Council Community Plan 2006-16 to be spent on the Ngatea War Memorial Hall during the period 2006/07-2007/08
AND THAT $30,000 be included into the Draft Long Term Council Community Plan 2006-16 to be spent on the painting of the Ngatea War Memorial Hall in 2012/13
AND THAT $4,000 be included into the Draft Long Term Council Community Plan 2006-16 to be spent on the resealing of the floor at the Ngatea War Memorial Hall during the period 2008/09
Turua Boat Ramp
RECOMMENDATION (6)
THAT Council considers the additional expenditure on the Turua Boat Ramp.
