RECOMMENDATION

THAT the minutes of the meeting of the Plains Ward Committee held on Tuesday 15 July 2008 be taken as read and confirmed.

5.1 COMMUNITY SERVICES MONTHLY REPORT (422569) (34KB)  5-7

The Community Services monthly report on activities is attached for the Committee’s consideration.

RECOMMENDATION

THAT the Community Services monthly report be received.

TURUA JETTY UPGRADE

Following a decision in respect to the sealing of a carpark off Hauraki Road adjacent to the public toilet, the Ward Committee requested that additional lighting be installed at the Turua jetty ramp.

Installation of a double headed light on the existing pole and repositioning it so it will illuminate the Jetty and roadway is $3200 including one new light and utilising an existing one.

RECOMMENDATION

THAT this price be accepted so work can be done in conjunction with additional street lighting upgrades that are currently underway in the area to defray installation

Minutes of the Ngatea Hall and Domain Management Committee meeting held on Thursday 15 May 2008 are attached for the information of the Committee.

RECOMMENDATION

THAT the minutes of the meeting of the Ngatea Hall and Domain Management Committee held on Thursday 15 May 2008 is received and the recommendations contained therein, adopted.
