LATE ITEMS OF BUSINESS

Letter from Waihi Scout Group

A letter was tabled from the Waihi Scout Group thanking Council for their grant for financial assistance in building a storage shed at the Scout Hall site in Baker Street, Waihi. The group now wished to site the building some 24 metres from the Baker Street frontage boundary and right on the boundary between the Scout Hall and the right of way to the house down the back. Because the site was a reserve they now understood that a special Council consent was required. The cost for the consent would cost up to $900. Council was now being asked to consider waiving this cost.

After discussion the Committee agreed that they would be happy to meet the costs for the building consent once clarification of the actual cost had been determined.

RESOLVED

THAT the letter be received

AND THAT the Waihi Ward Committee make a grant of a maximum of $950 from the Waihi Community Facilities Recreation Fund to meet the fees for the building consent subject to final cost.
