GENERAL BUSINESS

BRONZE STATUE MOULDS

The Community Services Manager requested the Committee consider whether to keep the bronze statue moulds of the statues produced as part of the streetscape project. With the completion of the casting for the new statue for Waihi's Streetscape, the matter of the future of the plaster mouldings needs to be considered.

It was advised that the options of whether to retain the moulds and store them on Council premises or destroy them needed consideration relatively soon as the latest set of moulds has to be transported back to Paeroa from Marton.

Due to the small number of members present at the meeting to consider the item, it was decided that a decision on the matter be deferred until the next meeting.

RESOLVED

THAT the decision on whether Council should take the moulds into their possession and store them be deferred until the next meeting of the Ward Committee due to a number of members being absent.
