Request for Rubbish Bin – Owharoa Falls Track

RECOMMENDATION

THAT the Ward Committee installs a rubbish bin at the Owharoa Falls.

Gilmour Reserve Lake : Offer of Memorial Fountain

RECOMMENDATION

THAT the offer of a water fountain from the family of the late Owen Morgan be accepted with gratitude and that the gift be appropriately recognised in due course.

Waihi Memorial Hall: Request for Assistance on Special Lighting Equipment

RECOMMENDATION

THAT the Ward Committee considers the request.

Whiritoa Bollards Across Small Grass Reserve Fisherman’s Bend

RECOMMENDATION

THAT the bollard fence be installed in July 2006.

6. GENERAL BUSINESS

6.1 PROPOSAL FOR ART GALLERY (01.000.020) (27KB) 20-26

Attached is a report from the Chief Executive regarding a request received from a Waihi resident, Mr Xavier Radic, requesting that Council allow him to place a copy of a proposal which highlights the need to restore and preserve the Art Gallery in Waihi which is housed in part of the Waihi Museum. Mr Radic has requested that a copy of the proposal be placed in the Waihi and Paeroa libraries and service centres to notify the public of the proposal. A copy of the request and proposal is attached.

RECOMMENDATION

THAT the report be received.

6.2 VICTORIA HALL COMMITTEE LOAN REQUEST (01.012.024) (28KB)  27-34

Attached is a report from the Corporate Services Manager regarding a request from the Victoria Hall Committee that Council consider funding a loan towards a kitchen upgrade in the Victoria Hall, Waikino. A letter of request from the Committee is attached.
