The Community Services monthly report on activities is attached for the Committee’s consideration.
RECOMMENDATION
THAT the Community Services monthly report be received.
REQUESTS FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE - SALVATION ARMY [401931]
Major David Orchard of the Salvation Army Waihi writes advising that they require a further grant towards dump fees for the coming year. The Major advises that much of their rubbish is from that which is dumped on the side of the street giving access to the rear of the shop.
In 2006/07 the Waihi Ward had made a $500 grant towards refuse transfer station fees.
RECOMMENDATION
THAT consideration be given to this request.

Bus Shelter at Information centre
