Franklin District Plan - for Kaiaua Residents
Hauraki District Council has been administering the
Hauraki District Plan and
the Franklin District Plan side by side from 1 November 2010. There are no
plans to unify the two District Plans into one at this stage.
What this means on a practical level is that anyone who lives or operates in the
Franklin area that is now part of the Hauraki District, for example
landowners, developers, and builders, will continue to be bound by the Franklin
District Plan rules after 1 November 2010.
The Franklin District Plan rules will remain the same and will be enforced by
the Hauraki District Council.
