WATER RESTRICTIONS
Notice to Residents of the Hauraki Plains (includes Netherton,
Kerepehi, Turua, Waitakaruru, Ngatea, Orongo, Kopuarahi, Pipiroa,
parts of Kaihere).
Due to the prolonged spell of dry weather, water demand has
risen significantly and water levels are low. It would be
appreciated if residents could conserve water where possible. At
this stage it is necessary to impose a restriction on the use of
lawn and garden sprinklers. Only hand held hosing will be
permitted until the situation improves.
Unfortunately it may be necessary to impose further restrictions
on water use if the fine weather continues. Your co-operation
and efforts to conserve water now ensures that water is
available for essential and emergency needs. For further
inquiries please phone (07) 862 8609 or 0800 734 834 (from
within the District.
