GIS Officer
This is a newly established role where you will have responsibility for the
maintenance and development of the datasets that Council uses within its
Geographical Information System (GIS). You will also be responsible for
administering and ensuring the optimal configuration of the GIS software, and
will provide the technical expertise for the manipulation and analysis of
Council’s data. You will be required to ensure that the organisation’s spatial
data is stored and maintained appropriately, and reliably delivered to council
staff to meet their business requirements.
A relevant tertiary qualification and a minimum of 2 years experience in the
administration of GIS is essential. You will also need to have a working
knowledge of network and computer infrastructures, web servers and SQL
databases. Knowledge of the Genaware Software Suite and Unix operating systems
would be an advantage.

Asset Management Systems Officer
In this role, you will play an integral part in the operation and development of
Council’s Asset Management System (AMS). You will need to ensure that data in
relation to Council’s network services and community facility assets is stored
and maintained appropriately, and can be relied upon for both daily operational
activities and long term strategic planning. As the AMS expert, you will also be
providing assistance to users of the AMS to maximise the use of the system to
meet the organisations business needs.
A working knowledge of the network services and community assets that Council
manages will be necessary for the role. You will also need experience in the use
of GIS for maintenance of spatial datasets, and have at least 2 years experience
in the use of an AMS to manage the complete lifecycle of Council’s assets.
