Hauraki District Council is a progressive local government organisation, with a mission to be a successful and innovative provider of services and facilities for all who live in or visit the district. Situated at the base of the Coromandel Peninsula, the Hauraki District (population over 17,000) is centrally located within close proximity to several major cities including Auckland, Hamilton and Tauranga.

The Hauraki District Council generally has a policy of advertising all permanent vacancies so it is recommended that applications are made directly for specific jobs as they are advertised in the table above. Some fixed-term jobs, particularly holiday employment, are allocated to students from time to time. Any students wishing to put their name forward for school holiday employment can do so using Employment Enquiries Form(20KB), or by forwarding a letter and CV to the Human Resources Advisor.
