Notice to residents of the Hauraki District

The establishing winter rainfall pattern is increasing flow trends in the rivers and streams that supply our water, enabling water restrictions to be lifted. Thank you for your co-operation in observing the restrictions. Appropriate careful use of water remains advisable to conserve resources.

For all areas of the District, until further notice, restrictions on the use of sprinklers and hand held hoses is lifted.

Information regarding ways residents can conserve water can be found by clicking on the SmartWaterUse logo.

It may be necessary to increase the level of restriction if river flow levels do not maintain their upward trend.  Your co-operation and efforts to conserve water now contribute to ensuring that water is available for essential and emergency needs.
