Kerbside Collections

Week 1 begins Monday 22 October 2018. Collections will be 1 day later this week due to Labour Day.

A number of halls and an event centre are available in the Hauraki District and are maintained by the Hauraki District Council. The halls can be booked by the community for a range of fee types dependent upon the type of use. Halls are provided to encourage and facilitate the community’s wellbeing, by providing places for recreational, sporting, cultural and leisure needs.

Paeroa War Memorial Hall

Paeroa War Memorial Hall

Situated: Normanby Ave, Paeroa Capacity: 350 persons
This hall is available for use year round. There is a Main Hall (with stage), Small Hall/Lounge, and Kitchen.

Ngatea War Memorial Hall

Ngatea War Memorial Hall

Situated: Orchard Road, Ngatea Capacity: 300 persons
This Hall is available for use year round. There is a Main Hall (with stage), Small Hall/Lounge, and Kitchen.

Waihi Memorial Hall

Situated: 41 Seddon Street, Waihi Capacity: 300 persons 
This hall is available for use year round. There is a Main Hall (with stage), Small Hall/Lounge, and Kitchen.

Waihi Event Centre

Waihi Events Centre

Situated: Haszard St, Waihi Capacity: 500 persons 
This Hall is available for use year round. There is a Main Hall with a Sprung Sports Floor (sports markings on floor), Small Hall/Lounge (mezzanine), and Kitchen.

Booking a Hall

Memorial Halls

Bookings for the Memorial Halls can be made between 8.00am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday by:

  • phoning the Customer Services Team (07) 862 8609, or Freephone within the district 0800 734 834, or
  • calling into one of the Council Offices.
Waihi Event Centre

Bookings for the Waihi Event Centre can be made by:

  • contacting the sports coordinator of Sport 'n Action at the Events Centre or
  • phoning 07 863 7295 or 021 223 7295.

Liquor/Alcohol Licensing
