Hauraki District Council operates three public swimming pools:
They are open daily during the summer. Refer to the individual pool to view times, activities, days closed and charges.
Ngatea Public Swimming Pool

There are two pools in Ngatea; the main pool is 33 yards long with 6 lanes as
well as a small learners pool. Heated to 27o

Admission charges
Entry 10 Swim Concession Season Pass $2 $18 for 1 person $72 for 1 person $34 for 2 persons $125 for 2 persons $50 for 3 persons $185 for 3 persons $60 for 4 persons $245 for 4 persons During the month of January there is a daily special admission charge of $1 per swimmer (aged 5 years and over). Please note:
Pools do not have Eft-pos, so any E/P transactions have to be processed at a Service Centre & customers then exchange receipt for season/concession passes at the pool.
The family passes which are the 2, 3 and 4 person passes can only be used at the pool of purchase, whereas the individual pass can be used at any pool.
Children under 5 FREE - when Actively supervised by a responsible person over the age of 16 years.
Supervising person (non swimming) may enter the grounds free of charge.NO CHILD UNDER THE AGE OF 8 YEARS SHALL ENTER THE POOL UNLESS IN THE CHARGE OF A PERSON OVER THE AGE OF 16 YEARS. SUPERVISING PERSONS MAY ENTER THE GROUNDS FREE OF CHARGE.

During advertised times all Hauraki District Council pools
are supervised by Lifeguards trained in First Aid and the New Zealand Lifeguard
Award.
