Hauraki District Council operates two public swimming pools:

They are open daily during the summer.  Refer to the individual pool to view times, activities, days closed and charges.

There is no council operated swimming pool in Waihi; however the Waihi College Swimming Pool is available for public use.
 



Ngatea Public Swimming Pool   X


There are two pools in Ngatea; the main pool is 33 yards long with 6 lanes as well as a small learner’s pool. Heated to 26o

Admission charges

 Entry 10 Swim Concession Season Pass
$2 $18 $70

Children under 5 FREE - when Actively supervised by a responsible person over the age of 16 years.

Supervising person (non swimming) may enter the grounds free of charge.

During the month of January the admission price per person will be just $1.

NO CHILD UNDER THE AGE OF 8 YEARS SHALL ENTER THE POOL UNLESS IN THE CHARGE OF A PERSON OVER THE AGE OF 16 YEARS.  SUPERVISING PERSONS MAY ENTER THE GROUNDS FREE OF CHARGE.


Tony Richards Toyota Paeroa Public Swimming Pool   X


The main pool is 25 metres long with 6 lanes.

Lifeguards   X


During advertised times all Hauraki District Council pools are supervised by Lifeguards trained in First Aid and the New Zealand Lifeguard Award.
