Draft Local Easter Sunday Trading Policy
In accordance with the Shop Trading Hours Act 1990 and section 83 of the Local Government Act 2002, the Hauraki District Council is now seeking feedback on the Draft Local Easter Sunday Shop Trading Policy.
The community feedback period will run from Friday 16 December 2016 to 4.30pm on Tuesday 31 January 2017.
A consultation document has been prepared which can be viewed on the Council's website and at the Council offices and libraries in Ngatea, Paeroa and Waihi.
There are various ways to have your say. If you’d like to put your feedback in writing:
- go online and complete feedback (in the form of a survey) from our facebook page or website,
- email your feedback,
- write a letter addressed to the Council or fill in the printed feedback form which is attached to the consultation document.
If you’d prefer to talk to your council representatives:
- join us at a local ‘coffee with your councillors’ chat (details are on our website),
- book in to present your views to the Council at a hearing in Paeroa on 22 February 2017,
- speak with a staff member of the strategic planning team and they can draft your verbal feedback into a written statement.
