Nominations open for 2017 Citizen and Young Achievers Awards

The Hauraki District Council invites nominations for deserving nominees to be considered for Council’s 2017 Citizen and Young Achievers Awards.

To be eligible, nominees must satisfy the specified criteria. Further information on eligibility and nomination forms can be obtained from Council’s service centres in Paeroa, Waihi or Ngatea, or phone customer services on 07 862 8609 (or 0800 734 834 freecall within district).

Nominations need to be received not later than 4pm Thursday 31 August 2017 and should be addressed to:

Proposed Temporary Road Closure

Pursuant to the Section 11(e) of the Tenth Schedule of the Local Government Act 1974, notice is hereby given that for the purpose of a Motorsport event organised by Thames Valley Car Club it is intended to close the following road to ordinary vehicular traffic for the period indicated hereunder. During the proposed period of closure provision will be made for ordinary vehicular traffic, which would otherwise use the road, to use alternative routes.

Period of closure: Sunday 1 October 2017, 9.00am to 5.00pm

Road to be closed: Woodlands Rd, Waihi (last 2 kms)

Alternative provision for ordinary vehicular traffic will be made with signs, cones and barriers to redirect traffic on detour.

It will be an offence under the above regulations for any person otherwise than under authority of an authorised permit to use the road for ordinary vehicular traffic during the proposed period of closure.
