RECOMMENDATION

THAT the minutes of the meeting of the Waihi Ward Committee held on Tuesday 11 November 2014 are confirmed and are a true and correct record.

The Community Services monthly report on activities for the month of November 2014 is attached for the Committee’s consideration.

RECOMMENDATION

THAT the Community Services monthly report be received, and

THAT the correspondence from Waihi Nugget Multi-Sport Festival Committee and ECHO Walking Committee be received, and

THAT consideration be given to the requests from Waihi Nugget Multi-Sport Festival Committee, ECHO Walking Committee and St. Vincent De Paul.

The Community Services Operations Manager – Assets has reported on the 2015 Long Term Plan assumptions regarding asset replacement and depreciation. Staff will circulate (under separate cover) a list of assets specific to the Ward area.

RECOMMENDATION

THAT the report be received, and

THAT the Committee advise whether there are assets which it would recommend not replacing if damaged beyond repair or when they reach the end of their useful life.


7. NETWORK SERVICES

The District Engineer and Roading Manager have reported on roading matters for the month of November 2014.

RECOMMENDATION

THAT the report be received, and

THAT the Ward review and comment on the Forward Work Programme as presented, and

THAT the Ward approves in principle the re-development of the Silverton Road car park in Waihi, and

THAT Option 1 is preferred due to greater functionality and flexibility, and

THAT the re-development of Silverton Road carpark be staged over 2 financial years to reduce the financial impact on Ward funds.
