Gr8 Job Hauraki-find your fit. Karawhiua Hauraki. Kei a koe te tikanga.
At Hauraki District Council, we are doing everything we can to enhance the wellbeing of our people and our communities, in line with our Manaaki Toiora Strategy. Through Gr8 Job Haruaki, we want to nurture skillsets! Nurture our youth! Taute pukenga! Taute rangatahi!
Under the Mayors Taskforce for Jobs (MTFJ) programme we have a great chance to support local opportunities for employment and training, and help rangatahi to be engaged and supported, contributing to the MTJF's Rural Community Resilience Programme. This Programme places NEETS (young people not in education, employment or training) people living with disabilities and other disadvantaged people, into work.
By matching jobseekers and employers, we enhance and improve employment outcomes which, in turn, have a positive effect on the whole district. The programme undertakes other complementary initiatives such as entry-level training, wage-based incentives, and support for businesses looking to take on staff.
