Tūrua main street watermain upgrade
In preparation for some upcoming rehabilitation work on Hauraki Road, we’re taking the opportunity to upgrade and move the watermain pipe out from under the busy road corridor and into the berm. This $650k investment future proofs the watermain and provides for easier access without disruption to traffic.
Odlum Group Ltd will be working on the project over the summer. Their days of work are Monday to Friday with potential Saturday work to ensure the project keeps on track. Some temporary disruption is inevitable as a result of these works, but we will endeavour to keep this to a minimum.
Tūrua residents, please note...
Most construction will take place on the berm and nearby boundary lines and driveways. However, they'll ensure there is a safe passage for pedestrians and vehicles at all times. We appreciate your cooperation over this period and ask that you take note of the following:
Traffic Management:
There will be disruption to normal traffic flows and our staff will be working in close proximity to the road. PLEASE TAKE CARE if you are exiting your driveway.
Site Conditions:
Please co-operate with all signage and requests/directions from our site personnel. Trenches or excavations opened will be closed the same day, or if this is impossible excavations will be barricaded or covered with steel plates overnight.
Thanks for your patience while we complete this important infrastructure project for the community.
