Council administer several grants to support groups and individuals within our community. In this section find out about our Creative Communities Scheme, Significant Natural Areas and Heritage Features Fund and other financial assistance available.
We administer the Creative Communities Scheme that provides funding for arts and cultural projects in our district. The money comes from a national arts body, Creative New Zealand.
Significant Natural Areas (SNAs) and Heritage Features Incentive Fund
Council set aside a sum of money each year, which Heritage and SNA owners can apply for to assist them with active maintenance/enhancement of those features.
- Painting, repairs, restoration of heritage features;
- Fencing, weed and pest control, enhancement plantings of SNAs.
These are dealt with on a case by case basis, by way of a letter of request to email@example.com.
Extraordinary grant funding
Council may consider providing grant funding outside the options above to assist with community projects considered to be of significant value to the Hauraki community. These are dealt with on a case by case basis, by way of a letter of request to firstname.lastname@example.org.
External Funding and Assistance
