ORDER OF BUSINESS
2. DECLARATION OF LATE ITEMS
Pursuant to Section 46A(7) of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987, the Chairman is to call for late items to be accepted.
In the event of a late item, an explanation must be given as to why the item was not on the agenda and why discussion cannot be delayed for a subsequent meeting.
3. CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES
THAT the minutes of the meeting of the Paeroa Ward Committee held on Tuesday 15 July 2014 are confirmed and are a true and correct record.
4. MATTERS ARISING FROM THE MINUTES
5. COMMUNITY SERVICES
The Community Services monthly report on activities for the month of July is attached for the Committee’s consideration.
THAT the Community Services monthly report be received, and
THAT the correspondence from Royal NZ Plunket Society Ohinemuri Branch Inc., be received, and
THAT consideration is given to the request from Royal NZ Plunket Society Ohinemuri Branch Inc.
6. COMMUNITY SERVICES/NETWORK SERVICES/PLANNING AND ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES
As part of the development of the 2015-25 Hauraki Long Term Plan being undertaken by the Strategic Planning Department, attached is a report and table (Appendix A) detailing the progress of actions assigned to staff for follow up.
THAT the report be received.
7. NETWORK SERVICES
The District Engineer has reported on the ongoing concerns of local residents in regard to gates installed across County/Raratu Roads, Karangahake.
THAT the report be received, and
THAT the Ward Committee considers the correspondence received from Natalie Avery and Gus Vanderstaak, and
THAT the Ward Committee decides whether to recommend any change to Council’s resolution:
That Council withdraws its previous permission for the gates to be installed across County Road, and
That the owners of the gates be informed in writing of Council’s decision and that removal of the gates, posts and fences is required at their cost, and that Council will have them removed, at their cost, if the written requirement to remove them has not been complied with for 30 days
THAT appropriate signage be installed to warn public traffic of the risk of using the steep section of County Road.
