NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT A MEETING OF THE PAEROA WARD COMMITTEE WILL BE HELD IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS, WILLIAM STREET, PAEROA ON TUESDAY 14 JULY 2015 COMMENCING AT 12.30PM

Pursuant to Section 46A(7) of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987, the Chairman is to call for late items to be accepted.

RECOMMENDATION

THAT the minutes of the meeting of the Paeroa Ward Committee held on Tuesday 9 June 2015 be confirmed and are a true and correct record.

The Community Services monthly report on activities for the month of June 2015 is attached for the Committee’s consideration.

RECOMMENDATION

THAT the Community Services monthly report for June 2015 be received, and

THAT the correspondence from the Paeroa Little Theatre be received, and

THAT consideration be given to the request from Paeroa Little Theatre.


8. NETWORK SERVICES

8.1 PROPOSED PIPING OF OPEN DRAIN: JUNCTION ROAD PAEROA (1380970) (194 KB) Adobe Acrobat PDF document

The District Engineer has reported on and seeks the Committee’s consideration and approval of a proposal to pipe a portion of the open drain adjacent to No. 71 Junction Road, Paeroa.

RECOMMENDATION

THAT the report be received, and

THAT the Council makes its decision on which options to choose based on that option being the most cost effective, and good quality for the Hauraki District based on the requirements of s10 of the Local Government Act 2002, and

THAT the proposal to pipe approximately 20 metres of open drain on the north side of Junction Road adjacent to No 71 Junction Road at an estimated cost of $20,300, be approved, and

THAT the project be funded from the Paeroa Urban Stormwater Drainage capital budget.

8.2 STREET LIGHT RELOCATION PRINCES ST PAEROA (1384382, 1384488) (196 KB) Adobe Acrobat PDF document

The District Engineer and Roading Manager have reported on a request from the Paeroa Promotions Trust for the permanent relocation of a street light at the corner of Princes and Arney Streets in Paeroa.

RECOMMENDATION

THAT the report be received, and

THAT the Paeroa Ward considers supporting the permanent relocation of the existing street light pole to the eastern side or Princes St for road safety reasons such as footpath lighting and additional lighting to the new carpark area, and

THAT the final location is confirmed with the Paeroa Promotions Trust to finalise the construction cost estimate, and

THAT the Council makes its decision on which options to choose based on that option being the most cost effective, and good quality for the Hauraki District based on the requirements of s10 of the Local Government Act 2002.
