ANZAC Day Commemoration Parades and Services are held around the District each year on 25 April.
No public ANZAC events to be held in 2020
The Returned and Services Association (RSA) has made the decision to cancel any public Anzac Day events. Taking this into consideration, and the mass gathering restrictions in place in response to COVID-19, Anzac Day civic services at Ngatea War Memorial Hall, Paeroa War Memorial Hall and Waihi Memorial Hall have been cancelled. The unveiling of the Memorial Wall at Ngatea, planned for 25 April, has also been postponed.
RSA Dawn Services
Dawn Services start at 6am at the foot of the War Memorial Cenotaph on Primrose Hill, Paeroa, and at Waihi RSA in the memorial area behind the club.
Dawn Services are run by the RSA and are listed on the RSA website rsa.org.nz/find-an-anzac-day-service
