COVID-19 - what we're doing

We're back to alert level 2.

Changes to our services include physical distancing and hygiene measures, washing your hands and coughing or sneezing into your elbow.

Hauraki District Council can be contacted 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. An answer service is available to take calls outside of office hours and will pass on urgent issues to Council staff where needed.

Urgent Council Issues

Council office hours are from 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday except for Public Holidays.

If you have an emergency that concerns Hauraki District Council ourside of normal business hours, please phone the Council on:

07 862 8609  or  0800 734 834 (from within the District).

You will connect with an operator of our after hours answer service who will take all of the details and pass your message onto Council Staff.

If your call is urgent it will be passed on immediately to on-call staff. Otherwise it will be passed onto staff at the beginning of the next business day.

  

Non-Urgent Council Issues

If you have an issue that is not urgent but you would like to pass it onto Council staff outside of normal business hours, you may also use our Online Service Request form.
