Contact the Hauraki District Council to report complaints about dogs including:
- dangerous dogs
- dogs attacking or biting
- dogs fouling
- ill treatment of dog
- stray or wandering dog
Please note that the Council cannot accept anonymous complaints but your identity will remain confidential unless the issue goes to court.
Dogs Barking
You could be fined if your dog barks excessively and disturbs your neighbours.
If your neighbour's dog is causing problems, you can take the following steps:
- approach the dog's owner and state your case clearly and politely
- if this method does not work, you can contact the Hauraki District Council
