Rates are a charge against a property (rating unit), based on the rateable capital value of the property and what the property is used for. Listed are Rates instalment dates and methods of payment.

Use the online search of the Rating Information Database for all properties with the Hauraki District.
When are Rates Instalments Due?
Rates instalment dates (excluding water rates) for the 2020/2021 rating year (1 July 2020 to 30 June 2021) by way of four instalments:

- Easypay (Direct Debit)
- Automatic Payments
- Internet & Telephone Banking
Credit Card payments online - The Hauraki District Council can now accept credit card payments for your rates. To use this service you will need to have both your rates assessment number and your valuation number which you will find on your Rates Invoice. Further instructions are available once you go to 'Pay by credit card' below.

Payments by credit card will incur an additional charge of 2.355% plus 17 cents per transaction (including GST). This applies to all credit card types. This is to cover the costs associated with accepting credit card payments.
