Changes to Our Dog Control Policy and Bylaw

We have taken feedback from a recent online survey on our dog exercise areas and proposed some changes in our Dog Control Policy and Bylaw.

We are seeking feedback on those proposals from Friday 12 February to Friday 12 March 2021.

These are being reviewed under requirements in the Dog Control Act 1996 and Local Government Act 2002.
Copies of the proposed policy and bylaw, statement of proposal and forms are available on our website https://weneedtotalk.hauraki-dc.govt.nz/ and at our Council offices.

Proposed Temporary Road Closure

Pursuant to the Section 11(e) of the Tenth Schedule of the Local Government Act 1974, notice is hereby given that for the purpose of a Motorsport Hillclimb event organised by Thames Valley Car Club it is intended to close the following road to ordinary vehicular traffic for the period indicated hereunder.

During the proposed period of closure provision will be made for ordinary vehicular traffic, which would otherwise use the road, to use alternative routes.

Period of closure: Sunday 28 March 2021, 10am to 5pm
Road to be closed: Woodlands Road, Waihi (last 1.6km)

Alternative provision for ordinary vehicular traffic will be made with signs, cones and barriers to redirect traffic on detour.
It will be an offence under the above regulations for any person otherwise than under authority of an authorised permit to use the road for ordinary vehicular traffic during the proposed period of closure. Any objections should be directed to the Roading Administrator on 07 862 8609 or info@hauraki-dc.govt.nz by 5 March 2021.
