Meet your councillors

And hear what’s going on in your neck of the woods. We've got Paeroa's Ward meeting on Tuesday 17 November, Plains Ward on Tuesday 24 November and Waihi's monthly drop in session on the first Wednesday of each month.

Here's a taste of what we’ll be talking about at the different meetings

• The Hauraki Plains is one of the most challenging places to build roads in the country due to the moisture sensitive marine muds and clays.  This year’s drought has caused major cracking and damage to many roads in the area. Hear what we’re doing about it.

• Paeroa’s new Wharf Street jetty is complete (although not yet officially open) and there’s lots of exciting work going on at the Maritime Park.

• We’ve successfully applied for $250,000 to help drive local employment opportunities, particularly for young people and those out of work due to Covid 19.

Meeting Dates:

Paeroa Ward
11am Tuesday 17 November, Paeroa War Memorial Hall

Plains Ward
2pm Tuesday 24 November, Ngatea Council Chambers

Waihi Ward
12-1pm first Wednesday of every month, at the Waihi Library
