The Community Services monthly report on activities for the month of April 2015 is attached for the Committee’s consideration.

RECOMMENDATION

THAT the Community Services monthly report for the month of April 2015 be received.

THAT the report be received, and

THAT the correspondence from Age Concern Thames Inc., and Goldfields Railway Waihi Inc be received, and

THAT consideration is given to the request from Age Concern Thames Inc., and Goldfields Railway Waihi Inc.

The Community Development Officer has reported on and provides statistical information and identifies key social service and service providers within the Waihi Ward for an identified social issue. This information will provide baseline data for potential future evaluation and ensure that the issue identified is relevant.

RECOMMENDATION

THAT the report be received, and

THAT the Ward Councillors request a meeting with identified stakeholders in order to identify key issues for seniors within the Waihi Ward, and

THAT the Ward Councillors agree on a meeting date for the above said meeting.
