Water supply rates and wastewater targeted rates are billed in either two or four instalments. The frequency is dependent on the rating units received over the last two billing periods.
For rating units less than 10,000kl
These are billed twice a year (in two instalments). These dates are staggered by reading area throughout the year.

Penalties
The following penalties for rating units <10,000kl will be applied to water supply rates:
- an additional charge of 5% will be added to all current and previous years’ rates outstanding on the day following the last date for payment of the first instalment (as described above)
- an additional charge of 5% will be added to all current and previous years’ rates outstanding on the day following the last date for payment of the second instalment (as described above).
For rating units more than 10,000kl
These are billed quarterly (in four instalments). These dates don't change by reading area.
