Tender for Sale of Abandoned Land - Pipiroa

The Sale of Land is under section 77 to 83 of the Local Government (Rating) Act 2002. Council invites tender for the Sale of the Abandoned Land situated at 15 Buchanan Road Pipiroa being an estate in fee simple, 1012 square metres more or less, Section 22 Block V Town of Pipiroa contained in Certificate of Title SA238/299 South Auckland Registry.

Details of the tender are available from Council’s Paeroa Service Centre, William Street, Paeroa or by phoning Dennis Lees, Property Manager, on 07 862 8609 or 027 4875609.

The last date for receipt of tender is Thursday 24th April 2014 at 4.00pm

Council reserve the right not to accept any or every tender submitted.


Kerbside Refuse and Recycling Collection

Special kerbside collection arrangements have been made for the week of 21 April to 25 April 2014 due to the week including both public holidays of Easter Monday and ANZAC Day.

The April 21 Easter Monday holiday will cause collection days in the week following to be a day later than normal. For Paeroa and Waihi this means collections need to be made on ANZAC day Friday 25 April, even though it is a public holiday.

Businesses in Waihi and Paeroa will have a special collection on Thursday 24 April 2014, to ensure that the main streets are clear for ANZAC Day parades.

The arrangement for businesses will be:

PAEROA

All businesses on:

  • Normanby Road, Belmont Street, and Puke Road between Victoria Street and Brenan Street, Willoughby Street and Albert Street between Victoria Street and Station Road,
  • The part of side streets only between Willoughby/Albert and Normanby/Belmont including Victoria, Arney, Mackay, Hall, Corbett and Station, will be collected on Thursday 24th April.

WAIHI

All businesses on:

  • Seddon Street, from Devon Street to Gilmour Street, including Devon Street,
  • Silverton Road from parking area to Seddon Street,
  • Rosemont Road between Kenny and Seddon Streets,
  • Haszard Street between Kenny and Seddon Streets,
  • Mueller Street between Kenny and Seddon Streets,

will be collected on Thursday 24th April.

All non-business properties in these areas will be collected on Friday 25th April

Liquor Bans

ANZAC WEEKEND

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the Hauraki District Council Consolidated Bylaw that the
consumption of alcoholic liquor, the bringing of liquor or of empty liquor containers and the possession of liquor or empty liquor containers in the public places identifi ed below is hereby prohibited during the periods identifi ed below.

LIQUOR BANS - WHIRITOA

All public places including Roads, beaches and reserves are included in the prohibition for the ANZAC Weekend Public Holiday.

Dates and Times – Whiritoa Liquor Ban
During the ANZAC Weekend Public Holiday being from 4.00pm Thursday 24 April 2014 to 4.00am
Monday 28 April 2014 inclusive.

LIQUOR BANS – PAEROA, NGATEA AND WAIHI

That the consumption and bringing into and possession of liquor in all public places including, roads and reserves are prohibited at all times within areas of the townships listed below:

Waihi

  • Within the 50 kilometre speed limit areas of Waihi township, and
  • Within the 50 kilometre speed limit areas of Waihi township, and
  • Within the 70 kilometre speed limit of Seddon Avenue, East from the Margaret Street/Toomey Street intersection to the 50 kph speed limit sign East of the Martin Road/Baber Street intersection.

Paeroa and Ngatea

  • Within the 50 kilometre speed limit areas of the Paeroa and Ngatea townships.

Penalties
Any person who commits an offence against the prohibition may be convicted and fined up to
$20,000.00.

Powers of Police
The Hauraki District Council Consolidated Bylaw authorises any member of the New Zealand Police to act under sections 169 and 170 of the Local Government Act 2002, including the exercise of the power under section 170(2) to immediately and without further notice search a container or vehicle.
